			Painting the Figure - An Intuitive Approach March 1-4, 2012 (9am-4pm) — Kevin Beilfuss, graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago and OPA Regional and National award recipient, comes to Atlanta for a four day figure workshop. The figure is a subject to which he is drawn. Lighting, color, symbolism will be explored. Basic figure drawing skills required. In this workshop Kevin will emphasize a more intuitive way to look at drawing and painting. 			The Magic of Landscape Painting April 9-11, 2012 (9am-4pm) — Ray Roberts offers a wealth of knowledge of painting, generously and clearly given in each workshop. Ray's workshops begin with a demonstration of the set-up and materials and discusses everything one needs to keep in mind when painting; composition, drawing, values and the approach. 			Painting the Figure Inside the Studio and Out in the Field April 12-14, 2012 (9am-4pm) — The figure is the subject with focus on improving drawing skills, seeing values and color correctly and understanding their relationships. The costumed figure will be painted outdoors and in a studio setting. There will be daily demonstrations in oil emphasizing the big shapes and establishing their relationships correctly. 			The Abstract in Pastels November 10-11, 2012 (9am-4pm) — Learn to use color, composition, the interrelationship of value, contrast, and discrete line movement to unite and create a cohesive, sensual statement full of both emotional and intellectual non-objective wonderment. Learn to create work with a gestural, expressive line and intuitive color choice. Pastels allow a combination of drawing with painting. There is an immediacy, vividness and purity of pastels.
